This policy explains how Jitendra Electrotrade LLP ("Jitelect", "we", "us"), Ahmedabad, Gujarat, handles personal data collected through this website, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). We are the Data Fiduciary for this data.
What we collect
- Details you enter in our forms — quote requests, BOQ uploads, product enquiries, spec kit requests, technical session requests, trade account applications, tender quotation requests, contact messages and job applications. Depending on the form this includes your name, company, GSTIN, phone, email, city, the products, brands and quantities you need, tender details, your message and, for job applications, your experience and CV.
- Files you upload — BOQs, drawings, tender documents and CVs.
- How you reached us — the page you submitted from and campaign tags in the web address (such as utm_source or a Google Ads click ID), kept for your visit and attached to your enquiry.
- Usage data, only if you accept cookies — pages viewed and actions such as clicking to call, collected by Google Analytics and Google Ads.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, prepare quotations and tender responses, and follow up on them.
- To assess trade account applications, including credit terms.
- To consider job applications for current and future roles.
- To send you the documents you asked for, such as datasheets and the spec kit.
- To understand which pages and campaigns bring enquiries, so we can improve the site and our advertising.
- To keep records required by law, such as tax and accounting records once you become a customer.
We process form data because you give it to us for these purposes when you submit a form (consent under the DPDP Act). Analytics and advertising cookies are used only with your consent. We do not sell your personal data.
Who we share it with
Only with service providers who process it for us under contract, and only as needed:
- Our website, database and file hosting providers (Lovable Cloud and Supabase).
- Our email delivery provider (Resend), to send enquiry notifications and acknowledgements.
- Google (Analytics and Ads), only if you accept cookies.
- Schneider Electric, Lucy Electric or Gloster Cables, where we need the principal's support to answer your technical question or tender — only the details needed for that purpose.
Some of these providers may store data outside India, with safeguards in their contracts.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and uploaded files are kept for up to 3 years after our last contact with you, unless you become a customer, in which case records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
How we protect it
Uploaded files are stored privately and can be opened only by our staff through time-limited links. Access to enquiry data is limited to signed-in staff with a sales or admin role.
Cookies
The site works without cookies. If you click "Accept" on the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics and Google Ads, which set cookies to measure visits and ad performance. If you decline, they are not loaded. We remember your choice in your browser. You can change it any time: .
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can:
- ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- ask us to correct, complete, update or erase it;
- withdraw your consent at any time (this doesn't affect processing already done);
- nominate someone to exercise your rights if you are unable to; and
- raise a grievance with us, and if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.
